In-Person WEFLA-SECAN 2025 Participation Restricted to Registered Guests at Las Brisas 

Dear WEFLA-SECAN conference participants and organizers, 

We are writing with important information about hotel accommodations for the 2025 WEFLA-SECAN Conference that we will be emphasizing in future communications to all potential international participants in the conference. 

This year, in order to participate in in-person conference events, international participants must be registered guests of the Las Brisas Guardalavaca Hotel, the venue for WEFLA-SECAN 2025*. 

In the past, some participants have stayed at other hotels. However, for logistical and budgetary reasons, this will not be possible for WEFLA-SECAN 2025.  

Please keep this requirement in mind when you book your travel and accommodations. 

We look forward to seeing you at the Hotel Brisas Guardalavaca in April.

*From the Call for Papers: 

VENUE: To participate in the conference sessions that will be held at Brisas Guardalavaca Hotel, it is mandatory to be registered as a guest in the same hotel. Hotels in the area are All Inclusive Resorts, and they now enforce the policy that no one without wearing the hotel bracelet that identifies its guests is allowed to be in its premises. In addition, please note that staying at Las Brisas with the rest of the participants will enable more opportunities to exchange ideas in a friendly and more open atmosphere AND allow for more Cuban colleagues to attend the conference. Your understanding and cooperation will be appreciated.
